Auction Collections
Auction houses want the vehicle gone, usually within a few days, and storage charges start quickly. We collect vehicles bought at auction and deliver them to your home, your garage or your forecourt, whether they drive or not.
The deadline is the point
Most auction sites allow a short free storage window after the hammer falls, then begin charging by the day. Some also restrict collection to specific hours and require the release paperwork before anything moves.
That is the real reason to book transport early rather than after you have won. If you are bidding on something that will not drive, have the collection arranged in principle before you bid.
Runners and non-runners both
Plenty of auction stock is sold as seen, with no guarantee it will start, and a fair amount of it does not. Some is sold explicitly as a non-runner or as spares or repair.
Either way it goes on the flatbed. A vehicle that turns out not to start after you have bought it is a very common call, and it is not a problem.
What we need from you
Auction sites will not release a vehicle without the right details, so have these ready:
- The auction site and its address
- Lot number and registration
- Release or gate-pass paperwork, or confirmation it is lodged with the site
- The collection deadline
- Whether the vehicle is known to start, roll and steer
- The delivery address
Trade and dealer buyers
If you buy regularly, it is usually easier to have one recovery firm that knows your forecourt and your paperwork. We handle repeat collection work for trade buyers alongside one-off private purchases.

Can you collect from any UK auction site?
We collect nationwide by arrangement. Give us the site and the deadline and we will quote for the run.
What if the car does not start when you get there?
It goes on the flatbed anyway. Tell us if it is sold as a non-runner so we arrive expecting to winch.
Can you collect several vehicles at once?
We carry one vehicle at a time on the flatbed, so multiple vehicles mean multiple runs. Tell us how many and we will price the job as a whole.
